In May 2024, MUNA Social Services demonstrated its commitment to combating food insecurity by distributing an impressive total of 291,319 pounds of food through its extensive network of 19 food pantries spanning across New York, New Jersey, and Delaware. The significant value of the food distributed in May, 2024 exceeded $510,000.00, highlighting the organization’s dedication to providing essential resources to those in need. During this period, MUNA Social Services extended assistance to a commendable 29,000 individuals, making a tangible impact on the communities it serves.

It’s our steadfast goal to extend a helping hand to Buffalo residents regularly, ensuring that no family goes without nourishment. Strengthening Food Distribution: MUNA Social Services' New Transport Enhancement
With the addition of this brand-new track, capable of transporting over 12 pallets of food, MUNA Social Services embarks on a fresh journey. This enhancement will greatly bolster our ability to assist all 19 of our food pantries more efficiently and our 20+ mobile irregular locations.

"Aim High" After School Program
Our “Aim High” After School Program has been enhanced thanks to the generous contributions of an anonymous donor. We’ve acquired new school furniture to better serve our students. Currently, our program supports over 50 students by providing homework assistance, and we are excited to announce the upcoming launch of our SHSAT preparation program.

Feeding 800 Families: MUNA Social Services and Sandwip Society Unite at Avenue C
MUNA Social Services, in collaboration with Sandeep Society, hosted a food distribution event at Avenue C Plaza on May 11, 2024, benefiting over 800 families. Leaders from both MUNA and Sandeep Society were present to support and oversee the event.
