Nourishing Communities: Our Impactful August Food Distribution

At MUNA Social Services, our Nourish Emergency Food Program is a powerful embodiment of our mission to empower individuals, promote equity, and ensure access to essential resources. In August 2024, we distributed a staggering 980,720 pounds of food, valued at $1,658,000, to over 65,000 people across our 19 locations in NY, NJ, and DE. This effort reflects our unwavering commitment to addressing food insecurity and providing culturally appropriate nourishment. By alleviating the burden of hunger, we enable families to focus on education and employment, reinforcing our belief that access to nutritious food is a fundamental human right. Our success is a testament to the collective efforts of our community, volunteers, donors, and partners. Together, we are building a future where food, education, and social services are accessible to all, ensuring long-term well-being and self-reliance for those we serve.

MUNA Social Services Wins STEM Grant to Launch Aim High STEM Program

MUNA Social Services is excited to announce that we have received a $4,000 STEM grant from Crain Technology, along with $4,750 from Human Concern USA, to launch the Aim High STEM Program. This initiative will empower high school students with hands-on experience in laser cutting and 3D printing, equipping them with valuable skills in design, engineering, and technology. Through this program, we aim to inspire the next generation of innovators by providing equal opportunities for learning and growth, in line with our mission to transform lives through education. We are deeply grateful to Crain Technology and Human Concern USA for their support in helping us build a brighter future for our communities.
