On April 18, 2024, the New York Council acknowledged MUNA Social Services for its exceptional contributions to the City of New York. MUNA Social Services was lauded for its vital support, offering emergency food aid to those in need, alongside its valuable educational initiatives catering to both adults and children.
On A Mission
We’re on a mission to ensure no one goes hungry, but we need your help. With 19 food pantries to service, we’ve signed a purchase order for an Isuzu truck capable of carrying over 25,000 pounds of food, costing $130,000. Thanks to a generous donors, we’ve secured $100,000, but we urgently need $30,000 more to make this essential acquisition. In April 2024, MUNA Social Services distributed a total of 461,540 pounds of food through its network of 19 food pantries located in New York, New Jersey, and Delaware.
